Just finished 'The Great Arc: how India was mapped and Everest named' by John Keay.
These Angrez people went to such extents to document what was in their grasp. Amazing spirit.
Hooray for cartography. Guess it has given me more impetus towards my slow collection of old maps.
John Keay writes on History in a vivid manner. Reminds me of Spiro Kostof.
