What strikes me most is the language and its structure. It is not a stand-alone piece of writing, but is rather symptomatic of the present generation's urge to communicate- more so to extract meaningful content without taking the trouble to be coherent in the writing. The scant respect shown to people's names apart from one's own, makes me wonder whether I should even bother replying to such stuff. No wonder people cannot write 100 words about their design/thesis topic/ programme, strung in a legible coherent structure and making some sense.
Though such text makes sense, it is devoid of a sentence case as is obvious, making it all the more casual perhaps even inconsequential. It is not written in a hurry, and is more of an exasperation due to a possible information overload, thanks to the internet, which is nowadays regarded as the Final Word. Such texts make me cringe.
Is this THE breakdown of language in its written form that Derrida kept revisiting?
Wren and Martin where art thee?
For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals
Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination
